Editorial Policy
Last updated: April 30, 2026
VFuture Media reports on the technology shaping tomorrow — AI, electric vehicles, future tech, gadgets, green tech, and the startups behind them. Our credibility is our currency. This policy explains how we source, write, and correct what we publish.
Sourcing and verification
Every claim of fact in our reporting is verified against at least one credible primary source — original documents, official statements, on-the-record interviews, peer-reviewed research, or our own first-hand observation. Where a single source is used for breaking news, we say so explicitly and seek independent confirmation as soon as possible.
Anonymous sources are used only when the information is in the clear public interest, the source has direct knowledge of the matter, and identifying them would expose them to retaliation, prosecution, or harm. We tell readers what we can about why a source is anonymous.
Fact-checking
Numerical claims (market size, performance figures, timelines, prices) are cross-checked against the underlying source before publication. Quotes are verified against recordings, transcripts, or written exchanges. Names, titles, company affiliations, and product specifications are confirmed in writing wherever practicable.
Corrections and updates
When we get something wrong, we fix it openly and promptly. Significant errors — anything that could meaningfully change a reader's understanding of the story — are flagged with a dated correction notice at the bottom of the article. Minor typos and formatting fixes are made silently.
If you spot an error, email info@vfuturemedia.com with the article URL and the correction. We aim to acknowledge within one business day.
Conflicts of interest
Reporters disclose any personal financial interest, employment history, or relationship that could reasonably be perceived as a conflict in coverage of a company, person, or product. Where a conflict exists, the assignment is reassigned. Where disclosure is enough, the disclosure appears in the article.
VFuture Media staff and regular contributors do not accept paid speaking, advisory roles, or equity from companies they cover.
Editorial independence
Advertising, sponsorship, affiliate links, and partner deals are negotiated by our commercial team and have no influence on which stories we run, what we conclude, or who we quote. Sponsored content is clearly labelled "Sponsored" or "Paid partnership" and is produced by a separate team.
Use of AI in our newsroom
VFuture Media uses AI tools for transcription, translation, search across our archive, and summarisation as inputs to reporters. We do not publish AI-generated articles as journalism. Every published piece is researched, written, edited, and fact-checked by humans. Where AI assistance has materially shaped a piece (for example, AI-generated charts), we say so.
Embargoes
We honour reasonable embargoes from companies, research bodies, and government agencies when they enable better, more thoroughly reported stories. We will not agree to embargoes that exist to suppress legitimate news or that require us to promise favourable coverage.
Plagiarism and originality
Plagiarism — passing off another person's words, reporting, or analysis as your own — is the most serious editorial offence at VFuture Media. We attribute all quotes, paraphrased reporting, and ideas to their source. Lifted reporting without attribution is grounds for immediate dismissal.
Photography, video, and graphics
We use original photography where possible. Stock or third-party imagery is credited in the caption or article footer. We do not alter news photographs in ways that change their meaning beyond standard cropping, colour correction, and retouching for clarity.
Privacy and dignity
We weigh public interest against individual privacy and dignity. We do not publish home addresses, family members' names, or other personal details unrelated to the news. Stories involving sensitive topics are handled with care, including content warnings where appropriate.
Comments and community
Reader comments are welcomed and lightly moderated. We remove comments that are illegal, hateful, harassing, off-topic, spammy, or that reveal personal information about non-public figures. We do not remove comments simply because they criticise our coverage.
Have a tip?
We rely on readers to flag stories we should be covering. Send tips, leaked documents, or scoops to info@vfuturemedia.com. For sensitive material, ask us about secure channels first.
